Portfolio - By Project - Deck Living
This deck design used Fiberon's Horizon decking with
different decking patterns and borders. A black, powder coated, fortress
rail kept the view simple and the focus on the landscape beyond the deck,
while using the decking material for the cap of the rail provided a ledge
to set drinks and potted plants on. Subtle lighting was used under the
cap to illuminate the deck and staircase, and a bench was substituted
in place of a section of railing to conserve space and provide seating
near the hot tub location. The deck was designed to support the weight
of a hot tub.
