This design broke away from being attached to the house
with a circular design and foundation plantings. Two conjoining circles
separated the patio into two separate rooms, while maintaining the functionality
of one large patio. A freestanding pergola and rectangular slate patterns
helped create the intimacy and formality of a private dining patio, while
a fire pit centered on the random flagstone created a more relaxed and
casual space. Wisteria vines were planted on each corner of the pergola
to add character, flower color, and added shade.
